I have Firefox installed and want to use it as my default browser. How do I set this up?
- Launch Firefox.
- From the "Tools" menu, select "Options...".
- Click the "General" option from the left side panel.
- In the "Default Browser" section, click the checkbox for "Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser when starting".
- Click the "Check Now" button.
- Click the "Yes" button.
How do I get new links or files to open in an existing Firefox window?
- Launch Firefox.
- From the "Tools" menu, select "Options...".
- Click the "Advanced" option from the left side panel.
- From the "Tabbed Browsing" section, select button for "the most recent tab/window"
- Click "OK"
How do I get Quick Time for Windows to automatically play movies, using an existing window if available?
- Open Quick Time.
- Select the "Help" menu.
- Chose "About". You should have at least QuickTime version 6.5.2 installed. If not, please upgrade from the Apple website . This will install QuickTime independantly of iTunes.
- From the "Edit" menu, select "Preferences" and "Player Preferences".
- Uncheck the box for "Open movies in new players"
- Check the box for "Automatically play movies when opened"
- Click "OK" to apply your changes.

How do I turn off the repeated security warning in Internet Explorer for XP Service Pack 2?
In Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, Internet Explorer sometimes displays the following message: To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options... How do I turn this off?
While Microsoft does not recommend the following actions, it is the only work-around that will disable this security prompt for every IE window.
- Open Internet Explorer
- From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options..."
- Click the "Advanced" tab.
- In the "Settings" listing, scroll down to the Security section
- Check the box for "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer"
- Click "Apply" and "OK"
How do I find the TUIApp preferences file (TUIApp.plist)?
- Find the Windows key (it should be the second key to the left or right of the space bar on modern keyboards).
- While holding down the Windows key, type the R key.
- Type the following exactly into the "Open:" field: %appdata%
- Click the "OK" button. An Explorer window should open.
- Find the "TUIApp" folder and double click it if it exists. If not, there is no preference file.
