Somatic Digital to Present at Venture Summit Silicon Valley
Somatic Digital's Founder and President will present at the AlwaysOn Silicon Valley Venture Summit 2008 Conference, December 2nd-3rd, Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California.
Mr. Barkeloo will present at 11:00am, Tuesday 02 December 2008, in Salon IV as part of the Consumer & Media CEO Presentations. These presentations are by the CEOs of the hottest companies in this sector, emceed by Ezra Roizen, Contributing Editor, AlwaysOn.
Immediately following this session, industry experts will comment and Mr. Barkeloo is available for 30-minutes of Q&A and demo in the Lobby.

Our Open House is from 6-10PM on Friday, 24 October 2008 at our new location, 347 Stanley Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45226.
Somatic Digital recently graduated from the Hamilton County Business Center (HCBC) incubator at 1776 Mentor Ave. and took up residence across the street from the reportedly busiest Starbucks in Cincinnati.

Developers in non-profit organizations or young companies will be featured in the Innovation Showcase & Welcome Reception on Sunday night, May 18 and again at the Business Profiles Session on Tuesday afternoon, May 20.
Jeff will demonstrate the Touch User Interface (TUI) technology. The TUI creates a "touch screen" out of the printed page by connecting paper directly to digital content that reside on optical media, Internet, or hard-drives. Somatic Digital's products and services enable publishers to leverage their print assets to drive more users to their interactive assets, improving the user experience.

Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA)
Somatic Digital's Founder and President is to present a paper at the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) entitled Bridging the Digital Divide: Converging Print and Digital Contents. The subject will cover Somatic Digital's revolutionary TouchBook™ platform that essentially turns regular printed pages into a touch screen to access the digital environment.
This ATIA Mini Strand Focus is designed to cover National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS) and Accessible Instructional Materials (AIMs) that guide the production of electronic distribution of digital version of textbooks and other instructional materials so they can be more easily converted into accessible formats.
The presentation is slatted for the Boca 3 Room at 1:15PM, 01 February 2008 in the Caribe Royale Resort and Convention Center, Orlando, FL.
The TouchBook™ platform is embedded with the Touch User Interface (TUI) technology. Properly designed content materials using the TUI should meet the requirements outlined in the National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS), the Individuals with isabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA), No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, and Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
